Origin
Common to France, western Asia and North Africa, the elderberry was used during prehistoric times. The plant was then used by Greek doctors for its laxative, anti-inflammatory and diuretic effects.
Description
The elderberry bush can grow up to 6 metres in height, it is decorated with small white fragrant flowers. The fruit is a small round black berry.
The flower and the bark are used in phytotherapy. The berry naturally contains anthocyans.
