Originating in Kazakhstan towards the Chinese border, apple trees can be found almost everywhere throughout the world. 50 kg of fruit is required to obtain 1 kg of apple pectin.
Description
The species of the genus Malus are small trees with deciduous leaves decorated with white or pink flowers.
The fruit, rich in pectin, a natural fibre which, when combined with water, expands in the stomach and gives a feeling of fulness, is used in phytotherapy.
