Origin
Originating in the Mediterranean basis, lemon balm has been used for its virtues throughout Europe since ancient times thanks to Arabic medicine. The ancient Greeks used it for relieving digestive disorders while Carmes lemon balm water has been used in France for its antispasmodic effects since the 17th century.
Description
This herbaceous perennial plant that can grow up to 70 cm in height resembles mint. Its leaves release a lemon scent when they are rubbed.
Lemon balm leaves are used in phytotherapy.
